Where does BudgetPlants.com deliver?

We deliver to the following counties in CA: Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, and San Diego County. See our Delivery Rates.

How long does it take for the plants to be delivered?

Once the payment is received, it usually takes 24 to 48 hours for the customer to receive the plants. We will give the customer an approximate window via email (the email address provided upon 'checking out'). If there will any delay, the customer will be notified immediately by one of our representatives. For order/delivery questions, please call 1.877.270.4777 or email us.

Does BudgetPlants.com have a nursery ground to browse the plants?

We have several growing grounds that are available by appointment to customers interested in 24" box items or larger that wish to 'tag' the plant before it arrives. 'Tag' options are not available for smaller specimens. To make an appointment, please call 626.297.0916 or email us.

Do I have to use the on-line payment methods or can I do COD?

COD (Cash On Delivery) will no longer be accepted. Our loss prevention policies allow orders to be shipped ONLY after the customer has paid for the materials in full. However, a bank/official check may be accepted instead of an on-line payment. Once the check has cleared, the materials will be shipped.

Can I pick-up instead of having the plants delivered?

In most cases, there are no services for local pick-up. Please call 1.877.270.4777 for order inquiries, or email us. Delivery fees are included in the ‘Check Out’ price for the material and will not be refunded.

What if a plant arrives that I feel is not healthy or does not look up to standards?

With our 'Send It Back' policy, simply do not accept the plant upon delivery. Please make sure the plant stays on the delivery truck and goes back with the driver. Any plant material that stays at the delivery location is considered acceptable and no refund will be issued. Any returned items will be inspected and the customer shall be issued a refund. Items that have been deemed healthy and up to industry landscape standard at inspection may be subject to a 10% restocking fee, therefore, only 90% of the plant cost (not including deliver) will be refunded. A full refund (not including delivery fees) will be given for plants that arrive in sub-standard condition.

Where will the delivery person place my order once it is at my location?

If you want a specific location (within our acceptable parameters), we will place the plants in this area. After order has been placed and you are ready to check out, you may specify where you wish the plants to go, such as, “in the driveway”, or “curb-side”. It is the responsibility of the customer to arrange for any city permits for drop locations of plant material that may infringe on city right-of-ways.
However, delivery persons are not authorized to deliver plants more than 10 (ten) feet from the delivery truck nor travel up any stairs. Our delivery persons reserve the right NOT to carry/deliver plants to any location in which they feel they may be harmed/injured.

What happens if BudgetPlants.com does not have the plant in stock that I ordered?

Sometime our stock can become quickly depleted over a period of a day or so, thus not allowing enough time for us to provide an update on our cataloged items. If you order an item which is not available, you will immediately be credited back for this item, and the other plants will still be delivered as normal.

Is there any warrantee on the plants?

BudgetPlants.com warrants only that the plants will arrive in a healthy, up-to-landscape standard condition. If a plant does not meet your expectations, simply do not accept the plant as per our 'Send It Back' policy. Please make sure the plant stays on the delivery truck and goes back with the driver. We do not off these services directly, but our Resource Center displays local designers and contractors in your area that can help you. When selecting plants for your specific needs, GardenBrain.com provides planting information based upon the customer's specific needs and can be a very powerful landscape design tool.

What is 'Xeriscaping'?
The term 'Xeriscaping' refers to a landscape that requires little to no supplemental water once established. These gardens are also typically much lower in maintenance as well. The key is to use plants that are native to the area you are wanting to landscape OR native to areas in which the natural rainfall is typically lower than your landscape, for example: For a landscape in Los Angeles, one might use California native Manzanitas, Pines, Salvias, and grasses. In addition to these California native plants, one also may use plants native to Baja California, Arizona, and New Mexico to complete their garden. The overall desired style of the landscape should be taken into account, such as a 'Southwestern' style, or 'Mountain' theme.

Additionally, the use of rocks and boulders are also typical of a 'Xeriscaped' garden. Landscape boulders, dry riverbeds, and meandering gravel paths provide tremendous interest in accordance with water conservation. Placement of such elements in the garden should be both functional as well as highlight accent points.
