The Australian Willow tree, or Geijera parviflora, is a medium size, upright tree with evergreen foliage. Leaves are long and slender, and have a beautiful flutter in a breeze. Flowers are inconspicuous and appear in Spring/Summer. The Australian Willow is a great choice for screening as it's canopy tends to grow more up than out and can take on a more column-like shape if pruned as such. This tree is very drought tolerant and requires little supplimental water once established. Plant in full sun and provide well-drained soil. This is a great drought-tolerant substitute for the well-loved Weeping Willow. Works nicely in a Southwest style garden. Grows to about 30 feet tall by 15-20 feet wide in it's maturity.
