Russian Sage is a delicate feather-like deciduous perennial with upright lavender colored flowers atop upright stems. Perovskia Atriplicifolia 'Blue Spires' does well in many soil conditions and is both deer and drought tolerant. In the cool season, Russian Sage will typically die back to the ground and will reappear with new growth in early Spring. To help maintain a manacured look, during the dormancy period, cut the plant back to about 3 inchs from the ground leaving only the stems. This will help the new growth come back tight and uniform. Native to Pakistan. Hardy to 5 deg. F.
