Quite an amazing succulent, the Mother of Thousands is a unique plant with tons of cute little leaves sprouting off the main leaves. It will grow to about 3 feet tall by 2 feet wide. Native to Madagascar, this plant is very hardy and can grow in many soils and conditions. Kalanchoe daigremontiana is incredibly drought tolerant, easy to grow and requires moderate to little care. The flowers produced by this plant are quite spectacular. The stem is tall and upright, and flowers are orange arranged in an almost umbrella like pattern. Mother of Thousands is also been highler regarded for it's medicinal properties. There has been many studies of how this plant aids in curing cancer. The leaves supposedly contain elemts that help to keep cancer cells from multiplying. An incredible plant, worh having in the landscape! USDA Zones 9-11.
