Bird of Paradise is a hardy plant with showy blooms which appear repeatedly throughout the year, especially if given a steady fertilizer regimen.  Tolerates Deer, seaside, wind, and drought. Great for tropical garden styles. Strlitzia Reginae is drought tolerant and will bring hummingbirds into the garden. The flower sits atop a ridged stem and resembles the head of a bird with showy multicolored feathers, hence the name, Bird of Paradise. Among the most popular garden plants, and when in full bloom, can be an absolute show-stopper.
