Penstemon eatonii boasts bright reddish-orange elongated trumpet-like blooms atop a slender stock. It can vary in height from about 2 to 4 feet depending on site conditions. Firecracker Penstemon is very drought tolerant but likes some supplimental water in the warmer months to stay looking it's best and keep from going dormant. It's one of the few Penstemon that can tolerate a bit of lite shade and still look good. This little plant lives up to it's name!
