Lavender Cotton is great for English cottage, country, ranch, Southwestern, Mediterranean style gardens. Drought tolerant and fire resistant.  Foliage is a beautiful light gray color with finely textured leaves.  If not planted in well-drained soils, plant will get root rot.  However, Santolia prefers dry sandy soil and will not thive as well in rich composted soil.  Plant is typically short-lived and is often used as an annual. Can be considered delicate.
